SAS GPS offers a very wide range of services relating to GPS Monitoring and Fleet Management. The main service offered by SAS GPS is called SAS Flota (available in Standard and Plus versions). SAS Flota is an advanced system for GPS Fleet Monitorig and Management. It can be utilised in any vehicle fleet (cars, trucks, heavy machinery etc.). It enables real-time vehicle position, speed and direction monitoring as well as generation of several reports based on GPS positioning data and the information gathered from the sensors mounted in vehicles including CAN/ FMS interface. The number and type of vehicle parameters measured is almost unlimited and depends mainly on the needs of our clients - typically the devices monitor vehicle engine on/off status, doors and cargo bay open/close status, cargo bay temperature as well as the parameters read from the CAN/FMS interface such as fuel level, fuel consumption, engone revs etc.
The difference between SAS Flota in Plus and Standard version is mainly the number and type of availale reports and the duration of time over which historical monitoring data is stored on the SAS GPS server. SAS Flota Plus is geared more towards the needs of medium to large vehicle fleets as it offers a wider range of fleet optimisation reports.

For the companies for whom the ability to monitor the vehicle position is the key requirement, the SAS Monitoring solution is provided. The solution utilises the GPS monitoring device as a server that monitors and stores the vehicle parameters and sends it on request, directly to the client software called SAS Locator. The software can establish a connection with the device on demand or in regular intervals to download the available monitoring data and provide access to it via its user interface in form of simple route, stops and speed reports. The unique feature of this appliaction is the ability to activate the monitored vehicle's immobiliser (if the device was installed to support this function).

Why is it worth investing in the SAS GPS monitoring and fleet management?

As a result of utilising GPS Monitoring and Fleet Management solution form SAS GPS you can expect three main types of benefits - increased fuel economy (both by reduction of theft and forcing more economic driving style by the drivers; increased fleet utilisation efficiency (making sure that the vehicles are utilised more productively both in terms of adhering to the work schedules and keeping to the designated routes) as well as reduction of workload relating to fleet administration (automation of reports and analyses generation as well as reminding important scheduled tasks for particular vehicles).
Fuel economy improvement the SAS Flota solution may bring savings of even up to 20% on the cost of fuel. The effect of improved fleet utilisation effectiveness mainly results from improved control over the routes, stops, working time of the vehicles during the working hours. In addition if your company provides vehicles also for private use - the application can provide objective reports as means of settling the costs of private utilisation with the employees.
 
Example: the report below shows the private utilisation of vehicles by the company's employees. This report shows that in January 2011 the employees who could use their cars also in private time consumed as much as 250 liters of fuel.

The experience of SAS GPS also shows that there is another source of savings which can be used by companies utilising the fleet management solution. It results from reducing the non-job related use of the vehicle in the working hours. Thanks to the vehicle stops and routes reports generated by the application it is possible to detect unauthorised debates from the pre-set routes and unauthorised stops. In total - controlling all these aspects will result in more efficient utilisation of the fleet.
 
Fleet administration workload reduction effect while at the same time improving the quality and reliability of reports obtained. This effect results from the automation of fleet management tasks which are performed by the SAS Flota application - e.g. generating several reports and analyses at one click of the mouse, as well as providing reminders about important scheduled tasks for particular vehicles on the fleet.
