In order to install the SAS Desktop Application please follow the instructions below.
Please Note: SAS Desktop application operates in the Microsoft Windows environment (Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server, Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista, lub Windows 7).
In case yor Windows has enabled automatic updates the installation should be very simple:
Download the installation file of SAS Desktop by following the link below:

Check if the current user logged into the system has administrative rights. If not grant administrative rights to the current user or install the application by running the msi file as an administrator of the local machine.
Please Note: in Windows 7 in particular, it is strongly recommended to use the default installation destination. This location allows the necessary access and modification of application files.
ONLY FOR WINDOWS 7: please perform the follwinig operations:
a) for the period of installation go to the Control Panel -> User Accounts and Filtering -> User Accounts -> Change User Accounts Control -> disable UAC (lowest level of control) and restart the system. Once the istallation is complete you can revert to the required level of control.
b) to accelerate the communication ot the application with the server please go to Windows Start -> Run, type cmd and press Enter. Once the command window is present please type in the following commands:
- netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel = disabled
netsh interface tcp set global rss = disabled
Please note: to revert the changes please type the commands below:
- netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel = normal
netsh interface tcp set global rss = enabled
Optionally: if the user wishes to view the routes on satellite maps - please install
Google Earth.
If the application does not work properly after the above operations you may install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Microsoft Silverlight (which should bepresent on most systems).

PLEASE NOTE:in case of computers without administrative rights it may be possible to run the application after downloading the archive:
downloading the archive, unpacking it and running the executable directly from the directory.
